This ceramic pitcher is hand-built using slab construction and finished with a bold black slip. The surface features a carved illustration of an intimate café scene, capturing quiet interactions and moments of connection between people. The angular handle adds a sculptural dimension, blending functionality with a contemporary aesthetic. The black-and-white contrast emphasizes the intricate carving, creating a visually striking and story-filled piece.

This vase is part of a larger collection titled Fragments of Hong Kong, where each piece tells a story found while wandering through the streets of Hong Kong. Together, the collection captures a mosaic of the city’s everyday life, scenes that may often go unnoticed but are deeply rich in cultural significance.
