Shaped as an amphora with long loop handles, Birds Fight draws on ancient Chinese vessel forms and reinterprets them with a minimal, contemporary profile. The cobalt surface shows herons in motion, wings spread and beaks touching. s. The motif references the long tradition of birds in Chinese ceramics, symbols of grace and vitality, and reduces it to line, gesture, and rhythm: A modern interpretation of blue Chinese ceramic.

Techniques
The vase was constructed using the coiling technique, with blue underglaze applied to the soft ceramic surface. The illustration was meticulously carved into the ceramic, revealing the design through contrasting textures and tones.
